Russell B Morgan - Class Of 1953

Russell B Morgan

Russell Morgan  '53  was born on February 25, 1934 and passed away peacefully on December 26, 2005 with loved ones present.

Russ attended school in South Pasadena where he was a "Golden Glove" champ.  Countless life-long friendships were formed at this time.  Being a "people person" Russ had an outstanding life long career in the grocery industry.  In fact, at the age of 18 he was already an assistant manager at a large grocery chain in Pasadena.

After two years in the Army, serving in the Orient, he returned to his chosen field.  He rose to Store Director and on to Grocery Broker and lastly in the meat industry.  As was true in all aspects of his life, he added "spark" that made better people of all those he touched.  Russ loved to follow sports.  Saturday Night Poker, trips to the "Indian Reservation" and playing "Name That Tune."  (Hope they have Poker in Heaven.)

His "Treasure Chest" of friends and loved ones is overflowing.  He is survived by his loving wife Carol, daughter Lynda, step-son Bill, brothers Dick and George, sister Mary Lou and beloved cat "Timmy."
