Rick Doig was born in California on September 11, 1948 and grew up in South Pasadena.  At the time of his death he was living in Los Angeles and was employed as the Executive Manager of Investments at Holden Company.

Rick died at age 40, on September 28, 1988, of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.  He is survived by his parents, Richard (SPHS '39) and Verna Doig and his aunt, Marjorie Doig Snedecor (SPHS '35).
