Robert T Autrey

Robert Thomas Autrey, age 86, of Loveland, Colorado, passed away at his home on September 26, 2009.  He was born on August 13, 1923 in Kansas City, Missouri to Wilbur and Elizabeth Autrey.  He married Eudora Sanders in 1944.

Robert graduated from Colorado State College in 1946 with degrees in industrial arts and in mathematics.  He taught at the high school in Pagosa Springs, Colorado for two years.  In 1950 the family moved to Aspen where Robert taught mathematics and industrial arts.  In 1957 he attened C.U. on a scholarship earning a masters degree in mathematics.  Starting in 1959 until his retirement in 1982, he taught mathematics at Boulder High.  He and his wife retired to Loveland in 1987.

Robert was an avid golfer and created many fine wood carvings and sculptures which represented his love for the outdoors.  He was a member of the First Christian Church in Loveland.

Robert is survived by his wife Eudora of Loveland; sons John (Joyce) Autrey of Ketchikan, Alaska, and Jamie (Patricia) Autrey of Sitka, Alaska; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
