Edward Cramsie - Class Of 1951

Edward Cramsie

Edward Cramsie, age 83, passed away August 23, 2017 at home in Pasadena, peacefully and with family by his side. He was born to the late Edward and Mary Cramsie in Boston, Massachusetts in 1933 and was the younger brother of Maryellen Cramsie Hughes (SPHS '47).

Ed attended South Pasadena-San Marino High School where he made a wonderful group of friends that he maintained throughout his life. Ed went on to graduate from the University of Southern California with a degree in engineering and was a lifelong Trojan football fan. After graduating, Ed spent three years as an officer in the US Navy Civil Engineers Corp and thereafter, 37 years at Parsons Corporation, where he eventually served as a Senior Vice President. During his career, Ed traveled extensively throughout the Middle East and Asia, which he enjoyed immensely. An avid and talented golfer, Ed spent many a day with friends on the course perfecting his game. He had a fantastic sense of humor and blessed all he knew with his quick and clever wit. Ed was also a skilled photographer and leaves behind a visual story of his life.

Ed is survived by his wife, Joyce, his daughters Karen (Chip) Sheean of San Rafael and Colleen (James) Harder of Napa, seven grandchildren, his former wife, Hilde, and a host of longtime friends. Ed will forever be in our loving memory.
