Edker, age 88, passed away peacefully in Huntington Beach, California. He is survived by his previous spouses Carol Anderson and Jane Pope, his four children:  Edker Pope IV, Catherine Pope, Ryan Pope, and Jennifer Pope; and four grandchildren.

Edker was born in Monterey Park to Edker and Blanche Pope. He graduated from South Pasadena High School in 1951. He was an US Army veteran and served in the 259th Field Artillery Missile Battalion during the years of 1953 - 1956. His military awards and decorations include:  Army of Occupation Medal (Germany), National Defense Service Medal, and Good Conduct Medal.

Edker was an entrepreneur and owned and operated a variety of businesses during his career. Most notably he owned and managed Traveland USA in Irvine for 20 years. Edker had a variety of hobbies and interests. He was an explorer and enjoyed traveling. He was an avid reader and especially enjoyed mathematics and sciences. He was also a pilot and enjoyed flying. Edker was a patriot and loved his country.

Edker had a tremendous sense of humor and lived life to the fullest. He was a kind and dedicated father and friend and will be missed by all.
