Jack Schweitz - Class Of 1942

Jack Schweitz

Jack Donald Schweitz (June 11, 1924 - December 3, 2016) passed peacefully in his sleep after his struggle with Parkinson's. He is survived by his loving wife Nancy Montgomery Schweitz, his oldest son David; his two granddaughters Megan Schweitz and Hanna Sousa, and grandson Bradley Schweitz.

Jack was a kind-hearted and loving man who cared for his family to no end. He was an avid fisherman, handyman, and an outdoorsman extraordinaire. He served in the United States Army from 1944-1946 during World War II and returned home to South Pasadena to marry his first wife Phyllis Goodvin (SPHS '48) who bore his two sons David and Donald. They moved to Santa Rosa in 1956 where he worked at A&B Market for over 29 years. After the loss of his first wife Phyllis in 1977, he then met and married his second wife Nancy in 1985 and enjoyed over 30 years of marriage. His kind spirit and warm smile will be greatly missed by his loving family and countless friends.
