Kathryn 'Kay' Wardwell (Walter)

Resident of San Jose, California, Kathryn Alice Walter, 87, passed away peacefully in the company of her family on September 9, 2011. She will always be remembered for her zest for life, adventurous spirit, and her thoughtfulness and kindness to her many friends and family. In Kathryn's life she was a devoted wife to her husband, Allan, who predeceased her, a loving mother to her five children, and a caring and empathetic grandmother.

Kathyrn's life was richly filled with family, travel, and friends. She generously contributed to her community and to her church and dedicated countless hours of service through her membership in PEO, ToKalon, the DAR, and as a member of her church's board of directors. The love and "joy of being alive" that she shared will live with us forever. Always in our hearts, words, and thoughts, we will miss you mother. She is survived by her children, Jeff Walter, Ann Walter, Pam Walter Durr, Matt Walter, and Todd Walter.
