William 'Bill' Peters
December 29, 1935 - January 28, 2026
William 'Bill' Frederick Peters, Jr, born at the Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, peacefully passed away with family at his side.
Bill was a graduate of UCLA and was ultimately a Chief Engineer at Xerox for over 30 years. He took part in building one of the first optical disk image recording systems and was part in several NASA launches. He was hard-working and dedicated. He was known for his ability to fix anything and everything, and his kindness and integrity. His hobbies and interests varied. He enjoyed model trains, ham radio (KB6LK), building computers, home remodeling, and many more projects.
He is survived by his partner of 24 years, Beverly Smith Willey '55, daughters Katherine, Karen, Ronnette, and Kristi, 10 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. We find comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will always cherish.
