Leonard Mancini

Lenny Mancini, age 60, of Crosby, Minnesota, died March 30, 2011, at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.  He was born on March 4, 1951 in Boston, Massachusetts to John and Helga Mancini.  He married Cheryl L. King on October 21, 1968, in Las Vegas.

Lenny served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam.  He was a former bartender at the Bridge and a former City of Crosby employee.  He owned and operated Mancini La Familia Restaurant in Crosby.  He is known for Italian cooking.  He attended the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby.

Survivors include one son, Johnny Mancini of Crosby; two daughters, Shana (Kurt) Eckardt, of Pequot Lakes, and Vanessa (Allan) Smiley, of Omaha, Nebraska; his mother, Helga Mancini of Pasadena, California, four grandchildren, Paige and Vincent Lockie and Peyton and Jack Smiley; and one brother, Walter Mancini (SPHS '66) of Altadena, California.  Preceding him in death are his father and his wife Cheryl in 1997.
