Jo Wetzsteon, 79, of East Moline, Illinois, died November 29, 2014, at Trinity Rock Island.

The former Joanne Marie Gibbons was born August 7, 1935, in Hollywood, California to Boyd and Anita McLure Gibbons. She attended Oregon State University and Montana State University. She married Don Wetzsteon in 1955 and they were later divorced. Jo was first and foremost a stay-at-home mom and later worked for John Deere. She was a member of Harvest Bible Chapel, Delta Delta Delta Sorority and Toastmasters in California. She loved the Lord, was an avid reader, loved to paint and draw, enjoyed flowers and gardening, and volunteered at the former Moline Public Hospital and Parkview Health Care Center.

Jo is survived by daughters Pam (Mark) Alllmendinger of East Moline, and Stacey (Bruce) Blomme of Bettendorf; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother Boyd (Gay) Gibbons of Spring Green, Wisconsin and sister Patricia (Art) Leonard of Cincinnati; and several nieces and nephews.
