Ed Wynne 'Nick" Nicholls, born July 31, 1937, passed away of kidney failure on September 9, 2016, in Kendalia, Texas. He was 79.

Nick served in both the Army and Marine Corps and ended his military career with 20+ years in the Marines. He was awarded the Purple Heart and other numerous awards. CWO2 two years in Vietnam, CID at Fort Sam Houston Army base in mid to late 1970s. Had his own private detective business, worked as a postal carrier for several years as well as other varied careers.

Nick was predeceased by his wife Ellen, in 2013. He is survived by his children, daughters Dawn Askey of Texas and Lorrie Hartigan of California, and son, Ian Nicholls of Texas; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He will be greatly missed.
