Judy Ann Gaisford (Atwood) - Class Of 1954

Judy Ann Gaisford (Atwood)

Judy Ann Gaisford Atwood, age 77, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family and loved ones on November 9, 2013 at the Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, Utah. Judy was born a twin with James Nemo Gaisford (SPHS '54) on July 23, 1936 in Los Angeles to Walter and Danna Eckard Gaisford.

Nearly inseparable from her twin brother, Judy spent her childhood in Los Angeles where she graduated from South Pasadena High School and attended Pasadena City College. Her passions for swimming and diving led her to qualify for a place on the Olympic Swim Team. She had a love of the water and the ocean and spent an adventurous year living on a Chinese Junk. She dedicated a career to working in the dental field, assisting and managing front offices before retiring to St. George.

Her devoted, giving and ever selfless nature made her the perfect mother to her three surviving sons, Arden Kelton, James Kelton, and David Kelton. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and her brother Dr Walter Gaisford of St. George, Utah.
