Ed passed away on April 22, 2011 at age 75, in Huntington Beach, California.  He had been dealing with multiple myeloma for nearly five years and finally was overcome by complications of his illness.

Ed served in the US Army and received an Honorable Discharge. He had a career in commercial printing and photoengraving, and retired to pursue his dream of outdoor living, camping, and backpacking.  He was a bachelor, living in Norwalk, CA., and is survived by two grown children and six granddaughters.
