Edward Freihoff

Edward Louis Freihoff (September 2, 1938 - January 31, 2017) passed after a brief illness. Ed was a business owner and president of Desert Stationers, now Office Works/TNN, until he retired in 2003. He worked in both Barstow and the Victorville locations and participated in civic organizations such as Rotary International and the Chamber of Commerce. During his business career and personal life, Ed held honesty, integrity and character at the highest of levels at all times.

Ed was born in St Louis, Missouri and came west with his family when they relocated to San Marino where he graduated from South Pasadena/San Marino High School and became an Eagle Scout. Ed attended the University of New Mexico and then joined the family business in 1960.

In his younger years, Ed enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting, motorcycling, and an occasional round of golf, along with fast cars. Ed traveled both domestically and internationally to Europe and South America and truly enjoyed the cultures. An avid reader and conversationalist, he always had good things to say and enjoyed chatting about life. Ed is survived by his wife of 45 years Mary Freihoff; his son Edward 'Tony' Freihoff and his spouse Mitch McDonald of Apple Valley; daughter Denise 'Denny' Freihoff-Lewin, husband Robert and daughter Rachel of Oklahoma; his sister Rosemary Drake; nephew Matt Drake and his wife Susan and son Cole, all from Apple Valley.
