Cynthia Mehl Grayson, born April 2, 1949, passed away October 12, 2013 in her home in Auburn, California surrounded by her family.

She was loved by anyone she met. Quick witted and good natured, she made everyone feel like they were important. She is survived by her loving husband, Tom Grayson of 44 years; her daughter, Erica Grayson; Ashley Wangenheim whom she mentored for the last six years and became a second mother to; her sisters, Norma Mehl Harris (SPHS '59), Joanna Mehl Buckle (SPHS '62) and Julianne Mehl Fouts (SPHS '68); and many nieces, nephews, and friends that will all feel the world a little less bright without her.

Cindi attended USC for a short time only to be called to New York for love and life. She would always say, "never be too grounded in reality" which always made you want to dream and reach beyond the stars. A free spirit in every sense of the word, she lived and loved life on her own terms. She was kind and loving and the support for many. She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend, who will be incredibly missed by everyone who knew her.
