Gerald Kenneth 'Jerry' Engel, born April 9, 1931, passed away from arterial stenosis at age 83 on August 4, 2015. 

Jerry taught at Sunnyvale and Cupertino High Schools in Northern California for 20 years and upon retirement, moved to Eureka on the north coast of California. He and his family enjoyed fishing and traveling along the Oregon Coast. In 2004 he moved to the mountain community of Mad River at Ruth Lake.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Chrystle; daughters, Sally Rogers and Linda Stewart; and son Gary Engel.
