Jeanine Louise Terry (Kearney) (1967)

Very saddened by Jeanne's passing (and Mikes also).  We were very close in Jr. High and part of high school.  We were in Brownie's together.  They lived close to use, so we used to play all the time.  Condolences to Kathy, the younger sister.  Does anyone reading this know what happened to Jeanne and Mike?  Please post if you do.

Eric Chase (1967)

Hi Jeannie - Eric Chase here.  Mike passed away from heart disease, and was living near Jeanne in Garberville, CA at that time.  He was an electrical contractor. At the end he had a number of ailments, but the proximal cause of his passing was influenza/pneumonia (thanks Ellen for correcting me on this).  I missed connecting with Mike before he passed on.  Jeanne was an agriculturalist, and she died of lung cancer. I visited her about 6 months prior to her passing, at her home in Garberville, where we had a joyful weekend visiting.  Her sister Kathy lives in Chico, and is on FB if you want to reach out.  I had dinner with Kathy before Christmas in SoPas along with Bob Lynch. I hope you are doing well.  All the best, Eric

Ellen Flynn (Sullivan) (1967)

Hi,

I was Ellen Flynn in high school, and was close to Jeanne and Mike before they died. They were wonderful people and my father, aunt and I were close to all the Fosters. It doesn't seem fair that they are gone. Jeanne lost her son, Ethan, quite suddenly 6 months before she herself was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer. Although all seemed hopeful on the prognosis right after surgery, she then lost Mike several months later.

Eric is right, he had a lot of health problems, but it was a case of the flu followed by pneumonia that did it; he was just not strong enough to fight it off. Jeanne's cancer returned a few months later.

Mike worked as an electrician, and Jeanne had agriculture and also helped produce an annual reggae concert called Reggae on the River up on Humboldt County where they both lived.

So what remains of the family is sister Kathy, who is fine, and living in Chico, her two grown children Ian and Claire McCallister, and Jeanne's surviving daughter Celeste.

These Fosters have had it rough, and could use all your thoughts and prayers. Jeanne and Mike are loved and missed by everyone who knew them.
