Roger M Moore - Class Of 1946

Roger M Moore

Roger Marvin Moore, loving husband, beloved father and doting grandfather, died peacefully at home in his sleep with his devoted wife Bobbie by his side, February 11, 2012, at the age of 83.  Born and raised in San Marino, he lived in Orange County for the last 35 years.  In retirement, Roger spent some of his happiest times traveling the world with Bobbie.  They especially enjoyed cruises, on which they were joined by many of their closest friends from Costa Mesa.  With a bent for mechanical curiosity, Roger was an aviation enthusiast with his lifelong friend Ken Lyon (SPHS '46).

Roger was both a licensed pilot and former airplane owner, and also owned and refurbished foreign-made automobiles, some of which he drove in car rallies around the state.  His passing leaves behind his wife of 28 years, Bobbie; two daughters, Lynn, of Sierra Madre, and Wendy, of Kirkland, Washington; a stepson, Gareth, of Berkshire, Great Britain; and four grandchildren.
