Carol passed away August 6, 2013. She went from SPHS to Stanford.

After the war she married Harry Shlaudeman '43 while both were still students at Stanford. She was Harry's partner during his 39-year career in the Foreign Service of the State Department. Their journeys took them to ten different posts in nine countries and Carol managed large houses when Harry was ambassador to Argentina and Brazil, among other assignments.

Carol was a loyal Tiger who often spoke fondly of her high school years and of the life-long friends she made then. Carol is survived by her husband and three children, Karl, Katherine, and Harry R.
