Patricia Erickson Chapman died at Pasadena's Huntington Memorial Hospital February 19, 1955 of injuries suffered in an unusual accident Friday when she fell from a car in the driveway of a private residence.

Pasadena police said she and her husband, Arthur, had parked their car on an inclined driveway. As Mrs Chapman started to get out of the vehicle, police said, she apparently touched the brake, releasing the car. Her coat caught on a door handle as she fell and the moving vehicle dragged her along the driveway.
