Barbara Foster Hambly (October 13, 1926 - August 25, 2014), resident of Pleasant Hill, California, passed away peacefully. She was the beloved wife of Warren Hambly until his death in 1989. She was preceded in death by her brother, William Foster (SPHS '39). She is survived by her sister Margaret Foster Wyatt (SPHS '41); her son Gary Hambly (SPHS '71); her daughter Linda Hambly (SPHS '68); and two granddaughters.

Barbara brought her joy of giving to the ones she loved. She was a doting grandmother and a compassionate and caring friend to all. Barbara became widely known for her sewing skills and she especially enjoyed making outfits for her granddaughters. Her kindness, generosity, and sense of humor will be greatly missed. Barbara will remain in our hearts forever.
