Janice Bernard (Attebury) - Class Of 1955

Janice Bernard (Attebury)

Janice Bernard Attebury entered into life in Massachusetts on September 23, 1936 and entered into rest in Riverside, California on October 15, 2013. Jan had resided at the Orangetree Nursing Center in Riverside for the past year. With her hobbies of water color painting, bingo, and quilt making she made many friends with the staff and residents. She enjoyed telling stories about her family and going out to eat; one of her favorites was Norm's for liver and onions.

Jan's career of choice was being a homemaker, a 'mother' to seven children and 'grammy' to all the rest. Jan is survived by her daughters Tina Reid, Carla Gilmore, and Rhonda Pierce, her 18 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren as well as a host of extended family and friends. Jan was loved and will be dearly missed. She is at peace and rejoicing in Heaven reuniting with her husband Frederick Attebury, children Mary, Dorette, and Steve; and sister, Joan Bernard Mallory (SPHS '52).
