Crowell Havens Beech

February 7th, 2008, Crowell Havens Beech passed away at home among his family at the age of 86. Born in Pasadena, California, Crowell graduated from South Pasadena High School and studied briefly at Stanford University. As a young man, Crowell was a disc jockey at KWKW radio station in Pasadena. He also loved performing in community theater and it was there that he met his beloved wife Lorraine. The young couple owned and operated two busy car washes in Southern California before moving to Northern California where Crowell enjoyed even greater success as an entrepreneur. His other passions were old movies, politics and the San Francisco 49ers.

Crowell is survived by his wife Lorraine, his sister Anne Lewis of Claremont, his two daughters Tracy Leighton and husband Lloyd of Yuba City and Allison Zuehlsdorff and husband Scott of Laguna Niguel, his nephew Bob Cowell of Bartlett, Tennessee, and his grandchildren Lloyd Peter and Elizabeth Leighton, and Lacey and Cozette Zuehlsdorff. He will be keenly missed by all who knew and loved him.
