Photographer Wynn Bullock Dies at Age 73

Wynn Bullock, who switched from concert singing to photography and won widespread acclaim in his adopted career, is dead at age 73.

Bullock died November 16, 1975 at his home in Monterey, California, after a long illness. After studying music and languages in New York, Bullock traveled to France, where he became interested in photography in 1928. Three years later he ended his singing career and became increasingly involved in photography. He enrolled in the Art Center School in New York in 1931.

Bullock retired from commercial work in 1968 and concentrated on creative photography. His work is scheduled to be exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York next year.
