									 Miss Lauman, Retired Art Teacher, Dies 
Hester Lauman, 78, a longtime resident of South Pasadena, died at Mission Lodge in San Gabriel, Sunday, August 3, 1969, after a long illness. 
She was head of the Art department of South Pasadena High School for 35 years.  She joined the school in 1921 and retired in 1956. 
She was a member of the Pasadena Woman's City Club of Pasadena; Pasadena Music Arts Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, an honory teacher's fraternity, and of the First Church of Christ Scientist of Pasadena. 
Survivors include a niece, Mrs. Donald Bussey (Ann Lauman), a grandniece and a nephew all of Alexandria, Virginia, and cousins, Mrs. John Frederic Murphy (Marjorie Connor), Elizabeth Connor, Rose Connor, and Dorothy Connor all of Claremont.
