Ed Eggleston

May 6, 1899 - February 13, 1985

Memorial services will be held for Ed Eggleston, former Dos Palos mayor, past city clerk and past city administrator who died Wednesday in a Dos Palos hospital following a short illness. He was 85.

Born in Whitney, New York, Mr Eggleston moved here in 1929. A retired lumberyard owner, he served in the Army during World War I. He was past president of the Dos Palos Rotary Club, Dos Palos Masonic Lodge and the Dos Palos Senior Citizens club, and a past commander of the Dos Palos American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Laurene Eggleston of Dos Palos; two sons, Dick Eggleston of Dos Palos and Charles Eggleston of Fresno, and four grandchildren.
