Eleanor Eakins Johnson

November 5, 1904 - May 16, 1950

 

Mrs Eleanor Eakins Johnson, 45 years old, died yesterday in her home, 6036 37th Avenue, SW, Seattle, after a long illness. She was the wife of Lawrence O Johnson, manager of the marine department of the Northern Commercial Company.

Mrs Johnson, born in Los Angeles, was a graduate of Oregon State College, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.

Mrs Johnson lived in Portland, Oregon, La Grande, Oregon, Pendleton, Oregon, and Boise, Idaho, before she came to Seattle six years ago. Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Virginia and Laurie M Johnson, both of Seattle; her mother, Mrs Marion Eakins, and a sister, Miss Maude Eakins (SPHS '13), both of Santa Monica, California, and a brother, Jack Eakins, Ventura, California.
