Joint funeral services were held for former South Pasadenans Mr & Mrs Karl P. Doerr who died within 24 hours of one another in Mexico City.

Mr Doerr, 66, died of a heart attack the morning of March 5, 1971 at the American-British Hospital.  Mrs Pauline Hammer Doerr, 65, died early March 6, 1971, at her home, also of a heart attack.  The couple had both spent their youth in South Pasadena where they attended the city's elementary and high schools.

Mrs Doerr is survived by a sister, Mrs Sylvia Warren (SPHS '27) of Redondo Beach.  Mr Doerr is survived by two sisters, Mrs Mary Spencer of Pasadena and Mrs Martha Black (SPHS '24) of Mexico City; and a brother, Albert E. Doerr (SPHS '26) of Pasadena.
