Laura House Wallace

August 16, 1908 - September 2, 2006

Laura H. Wallace, 98, of Hillcrest, passed away peacefully at Arroyo Vista Nursing Center. A native Californian, Laura was born in Richmond, lived her early years in Independence, Missouri, before settling the last 30 years in San Diego. She was educated at South Pasadena High School and the University of Chicago. Laura was an accomplished woman...a chorale singer with a beautiful voice, a fine cook and homemaker, and a devout Christian committed to spiritual study and practice. She loved literature, poetry, music, gardens, all with a keen awareness of beauty. Laura took an avid interest in world events, politics, and good conversation. She saw the humor in any situation. Always ready with a joke, allegory, or limerick, she loved parties and laughter. She was the life of the party.
