Henry Horton Voss - Class Of 1928

Horton Voss

February 18, 1911 - June 15, 1979

Dr H. Horton Voss, 68, of Redlands, died in his home. He was born in Basin, Wyoming and was a former 25-year resident of San Bernardino.

He had a dental practice in San Bernardino for 38 years and was a life member of the American Dental Association. He was a former member of the San Bernardino Exchange Club, a past president of the San Bernardino Christian Business Men's Committee and was a member of the San Bernardino County Museum Historical Society.

A member of the Bethany Reformed Church in Redlands, he was the chairman of its Mission's Committee and was the founder of the Association of Christian Missions Committee. In addition, he was a board member of the Navajo Gospel Mission and acted as special representative of the Overseas Crusade. He also belonged to the Bible Study Fellowship and led the men's class there for many years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Edna; a son, Stephen of Campbell; two daughters, Nora Lee Alexander of Redlands and Leslie Voss of Beverly Hills; a half-sister, Jacqueline Voss of Manhattan Beach; and five grandchildren.
