William T McAllister Jr - Class Of 1930

William McAllister, Jr.  '30  died June 7, 1994.  He was one of the Seven Tigers in 1930 and a football star, a quarterback, for the Tigers all four years.  He also lettered in track and basketball.  He was on the staff of the yearbook and was president of Hi-Y, Quill & Scroll, and vice-president and secretary of NAS.  He was a "keen," "slick," and "swell" fellow according to his classmates.  The pages in his yearbooks are covered with notes from admiring classmates, both male and female.

He was a wonderful father and was loved and admired by all of the people he worked with at Sierra Electric in Gardena.  Dad worked there for over thirty years and was the plant manager for over ten years; he retired in 1976

JoAnn McAllister, daughter of William Thomas McAllister '30 is writing a book on her father and would appreciate phone calls, emails, or letters from anyone who went to school with or knew her father.  She is also trying to find out about a friend of Bill's who signed his 1930 yearbook as "Flossie."  Please contact her at 1207 Melville Square #112, Richmond, CA 94804, phone 510/965-1022 or you can email me at jmcallister@igc.org
