Arlene Mae Mansfield (Olliff) - Class Of 1932

Arlene Mansfield Olliff  '32 

(The following information was taken from a letter written to SPHSAA by Arlene's husband, Albert W. Olliff, Jr.)

Arlene was a graduate of South Pasadena High School in 1932 and the last thing she purchased for herself was a stuffed TIGER.  She graduated from Art Center School of Industrial Design.  She and her sister Joyce both had winning designs for Rose Parade floats, built for use in the Pasadena Rose Parade for the City of Glendale.  She was a creating artist all of her 91 years and specialized in water color and oil.

We had 61 years of good marriage, and we raised two sons; James Olliff of Glendale, California, and Don Olliff of San Diego, California.  Arlene loved her years at SPHS.  She died from brain surgery and stroke Nobember 11, 2004, at Scripps Hospital in La Jolla, California.
