Clemens "Clem" Tomerlin - Class Of 1937

Clemens Clem Tomerlin

Clem Tomerlin passed away March 25, 2006, after several years of illness.  Clem lived in San Clemente with his wife of many years, Katie.

Clem was an outstanding athlete at SPHS in football, basketball, and baseball.  During those years, he played against such stars as Jackie Robinson, John Lindell of Monrovia, and even Ted Williams at the Pomona 20/30 tournament.  Clem continued to play at PJC with the famous Jackie Robinson and then on to Stanford where he played on the great team of Coach Clark Shaughnessy that went on to the Rose Bowl to beat Nebraska 21 to 13 on January 1st, 1941.
