Our family and the Larson's were good friends for many years, Mr. Larson was a hard working family man devoted to his community and country. He was a member of Americas greatest generation and suffered lifetime physical problems from his war years service. He married his nurse. The fact he was a Cal Tech grad speaks for itself as to his intellect.  He went to school with and knew the fine American actor William Holden ( Bridge on the River Quai ) When I see a Bill Holden movie on TCM I always think of Mr. Larson, they were of a generation and similar in some ways. Rugged Americans who lived throught the depression, fought the war and came back to build the nation and put a man on the moon for good measure. We shall not see their likes again, they were American originals. R.I.P.  Mr.Larson , you did all anyone could ask of you, your duty is done.

Sincerely, George Ainsworth
