GRAND PRAIRIE - Frederick Kazuo Ishii, 81, a retired aerospace engineer for LTV and General Dynamics, died Wednesday, February 21, 2001, in Bedford. Frederick Ishii was born August 8, 1919, in Wasatch, Utah. He was a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and was an avid member of the Dallas Kendo and Iaido Kyokai until the time of his death.
He was preceded in death by his father, Shoichi Ishii; mother, Michie; stepmother, Sadako Ishii; and son, Sakahaftewa Ishii. Survivors: Wife, Tei Ishii; son, Lomayumtewa C. Ishii and wife, Esther; daughter, Mashavenka Cota and husband, Steve; brothers, Ray (SPHS '40) and wife, Michika, and Toshio and wife, Hatuko; sisters, Takao Kurachi and husband, Sam, and Yoshie Tachiki and husband, Norman; and grandchildren, Ciyunsi and Loma Ishii and Eli and Rachal Gordon.
