John C. Cornell, 69, of Chico, passed away September 9, 2007 of natural causes. He was born on November 12, 1937. John was in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958 and was a Senior Parachutist with the 101st Airborne Division. He attended Chico State and Butte College. He worked for Chem-Tech of Chico. He was a member of the E Clampus Vitus, Paradise, California Chapter. John is survived by his daughters, Andrea Striley and Caryn Shaffer of Oregon, and members of the original "CITY ZOO" of Chico State.
