Jenifer Lynn Halvorson Lizotte of Burlington, Vermont, passed away February 28, 2003, after a long and difficult battle with cancer. Words cannot describe the unwavering courage and optimism she maintained throughout her struggle.

Jeni was born in South Pasadena, California on July 5, 1957, the daughter of Lawrence and Jacquelyn Strong Halvorson. In 1978, her family relocated to Vermont where she met future husband, Vincent Lizotte of Burlington. Those who knew her know of her love for architecture, design, and construction. Her talents and interests were numerous, including her involvement in the YWCA Camp Hochelaga.

Jeni is survived by Vinny, her husband of 21 years; her daughter, Angie; her parents, Lawrence and Jacquelyn of Georgia, Vermont; one brother, Tim Halvorson (SPHS '78) and wife, Kristin, of Charlotte; one sister, Jane Boutin and her husband, Robert of Sheldon; nieces and nephews; and dog, Lucy. In passing, as in her life, she displayed incredible style and grace. She was surrounded by her family.
