Robert Glenhart 'Bob' Bowlus passed away peacefully November 3, 2016 surrounded by his family at his home in Ashland, Oregon. He was born June 11, 1919 in Los Angeles, California.

Bob was a chemistry professor for more than 30 years at Pasadena City College and at Southern Oregon University. He was a long-time member and former Commodore of the Rogue Yacht Club, and an enthusiastic supporter of Mt. Ashland. He was never happier than when he was on his cross-country or downhill skis or at the helm of a sailboat. He enjoyed teaching these skills to family and friends.

Bob is survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and by numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. His beloved wife of 72 years, Gerry Wakeman Bowlus (SPHS '37) passed away in 2011. Bob and Gerry were long-time members of Trinity Episcopal Church of Ashland.
