April 7, 1924 - March 14, 2024

Long-time resident of Walnut Creek, Elizabeth was born in Los Angeles to Cloyd and Florence Claflin Helter. Educated in the public school of South Pasadena, Elizabeth graduated from Occidental College in November 1945. She was employed in the personnel department of the Los Angeles Times and also worked at American Trust Bank.

Elizabeth married Robert E Williams in 1947 and they were happily married for 72 1/2 years until Robert's death in 2021. Elizabeth served as a supportive pastor's wife in congregations at San Geronimo, California, Redmond, Oregon, Walnut Creek and Oakland, California. She was a charter member of Grace Presbyterian Church and the Grace Women's Association. Elizabeth was a founding member of PEO Chapter QC and Grace Cooperative Preschool. She served many years running an elections polling location for CCC Elections Office.

Elizabeth is survived by her three daughters, Patricia (John) Morris, Barbara (Michael) Christie, Deborah (Philip) Herndon, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
