Malcolm Arthur McClain

Malcolm "Mac" McClain (March 13, 1923-May 25, 2012) died peacefully on May 25, 2012 in Granada Hills, California at age 89.  Born in Los Angeles, Mac spent his early years in San Marino.

Mac served in World War II and received a Bronze Star and a battlefield commission for his bravery in battle.  He returned to graduate from Pomona College and then began his life as a consummate potter, painter, sculptor, and poet. He taught at the Art Center in La Jolla and ended as an art teacher and Department Chair of the California State University, Los Angeles Art Department.
