Claire Sloggett Schulze, 95, of McMinnville, Oregon, formerly of Fullerton and Laguna Beach passed away peacefully on November 2, 2017. Claire was born April 6, 1922 in Los Angeles to Paul and Margaret Sloggett. She graduated from UCLA and worked as a teacher. In January 1946 she married Jim Schulze. They lived in San Gabriel, then moved to Fullerton in 1957, where she was involved with the Assistance League.

Claire loved music, playing bridge, reading, and spending time with friends and family. Vacations in Laguna Beach resulted in their moving to Laguna before retiring to Oregon.

Claire is survived by her husband of 71 years, James H Schulze; children, Jeff (Lauri) Schulze of Placentia, John Schulze of Oregon, and Jennifer (Roger) Buck of Washington; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Mom was a 'real mom,' devoted completely to her family and friends. She will be missed.
