Richard Chatterton Torrence, 81, of Trabuco Canyon, a retired assistant postmaster, died August 20, 1995 of natural causes.

He is survived by his wife, Leona; daughters, Maureen Somodi Of Laguna Niguel, Laura Lee Gilliam of Dana Point, Sheila Torrence of Costa Mesa, and Erin White of Trabuco Canyon; sons, Kenneth Torrence of Huntington Beach and Kevin Torrence of Mission Viejo; sister, Katherine Bradley of Newport Beach; and nine grandchildren.
