Alison Ferrer Witherspoon

August 6, 1948 - June 7, 2026

With a heavy heart we announce that Alison Elizabeth Witherspoon (Ferrer) passed away in Chesapeake, Virginia. She was a loving mother to Lisa Witherspoon Kinney and son-in-law Marc Kinney.

Born in Los Angeles to parents Paul and Jesslyn Ferrer, she had an older brother, Paul (SPHS '58), and younger sister, Robin (SPHS '69). She grew up in South Pasadena, attending South Pasadena schools. She then went on to the University of Southern California where she was the first in her family to earn a Bachelor's degree in Education.

Alison had many interests but to name just a few, she enjoyed cooking, horseback riding and sailing, she loved watching USC football games and had been an active member of her church, St Francis of Assisi in California, but most of all she loved people and could make a lifelong friend in an instant. She was kind, caring, compassionate and had an infectiously beautiful smile.

She now joins her brother, Paul and sister, Robin in heaven, but leaves behind many wonderful memories that we will hold in our hearts forever.
