I didn't share any classes with Dennis but knew who he was and always thought he was cute. So...here's a fun story...
Shortly after we graduated, my friends and I were playing with a Ouiga Board and asked who I was going to go out with. It came up with the letters D and V. None of us could think of who that would be. Then out of the blue one day I got a call from Dennis asking me out! We went to Magic Mountain and I remember how terrifying a lot of those rides were but Dennis loved them. He was a very sweet and fun guy, and I'm certain he will be greatly missed by his family.
Dennis and I were good friends during high school and remained friends into the 1990's. He was the smart one in our group graduating from UC Irvine with a math degree. I believe he was in the first graduating class of that 'upstart' university. Anyway, he lived in Palm Springs working for an insurance company and then moved to central California after retiring. I have nothing but good memories about Dennis and he always made for a good audience for the rest of our group. I only wish we had stayed in touch. Love you buddy. Gregg Shuler (1966)
