Susan Francis Bentley, born July 24, 1936, passed away at age 82 on December 1, 2018, due to dementia. At the time of her death she was living in Yuba City, California.

Susan lived a fantastic life. She was a well-accomplished Legal Assistant and raised three wonderful children. Her oldest son, Edward 'Ted' Sutphen '79 died in 2006. Her daughter and granddaughter were by her side when she passed over to be with all her friends and family that preceded her in death. She is finally at peace and pain free. She always did lots of volunteer work in the last years of her life and gave back to everyone she met.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Bentley Plese '86 and son-in-law David; son Lawrence Bentley '84; and three grandchildren.
