John Large (April 18, 1949 - January 14, 2015) passed away after a battle with cancer. John was a SPHS senior in 1967 and a member of the undefeated varsity basketball team. He became ill towards the end of that school year and did not graduate in 1967. He returned to SPHS in 1968 to complete his senior year.  In looking through both of the year books for his senior years, I can see John had many friends and lots of fun during his time at South Pasadena High School.

John is survived by his son Jerry, daughter-in-law Tania, granddaughters Arianna and Julia, his wife Nancy, step-daughters Tracie and Trina, and granddaughter Cheyenne. John was loved by all and will forever be in our hearts.

John Duane Large, born April 18, 1949, died at age 65 on January 14, 2015 in Bullhead, Arizona. Cause of death was cancer.

John played on the CIF Basketball Championship team in 1967 and played basketball for the USMC. Although he was in the class of 1967, John graduated in 1968. He is survived by his son, Jerry and granddaughters Arianna and Julia Large.
