Kathy Poynter Walker

November 28, 1945 - August 9, 2022

Kathleen Mary Poynter Walker passed away peacefully in Newport Beach, California at the age of 76. Kathy was born in Pasadena to Jude and Marguerite Bivens Poynter. In October 1967 she married Captain Kenneth Walker in Virginia. They had one son in 1972.

Kathy had many hobbies and interest throughout her life. She enjoyed competitive figure skating early in life, playing cards, trying new restaurants, traveling, jigsaw puzzles and especially socializing with her beloved network of friends. She was extremely proud of her son and his beautiful family. She loved being a grandmother and the affection and joy of her cocker spaniels. She was very philanthropic and committed to numerous charities throughout her life. 

Kathy was residing in Laguna Hills at the time of her passing. Kathy was preceded in death by her father and mother and her sister Judy Poynter Slagle. She is survived by her son Glenn, daughter-in-law Jennifer, and two grandchildren.
