Timothy Price

Tim Price

May 22, 1943 - September 13, 2020

Tim passed away peacefully in his sleep from complications of hepatitis. After high school, he went into the Army, serving in Japan during the Vietnam War. When he returned home, he graduated from PCC and Cal State University, Los Angeles. While at PCC, he was the Sports Director of the college radio station and after getting his BA, he worked as an editor for the ABC TV Station, among other things. He won an Emmy for editing the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics in Los Angeles, and above all, was a family man. He was a long time president of Daisy Villa Neighborhood Association in Pasadena. He was a super brother to his older sister, Gail, and younger sister, Noelle. The three of us had fun being in play productions together, getting together for family holiday celebrations and just laughing and teaching each other about silly things. And, he was the only big (6'4") guy I know who could parallel park in the smallest space in one try! He will be missed.

Tim is survived by his wife of 50 years, Diane, who he met at PCC, his daughter Veronica Drown, her husband Karl and their children,Tyler, Mason and Sydney; his son, Charlie Price and his wife Shelly (Tim was thrilled knowing that his future grandson to be born in 2021 will carry on the Price family name); and his sister, Noelle Price Deinken '64 and her husband Jay and several nieces and nephews.

Tim Price, long time president of Daisy Villa Neighborhood Association passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 13, 2020. He was 77 years old. I respected Tim and his leadership for our district and Pasadena. I will always remember Tim because he was respectful and humble, qualities I admire and appreciate. Whenever I needed a good opinion about something he was a person I could get a perspective as a neighborhood representative. I always got smart, honest and direct answers that I trusted. A man of faith, he regularly attended services and volunteered at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Tim is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Diane, his daughter Veronica Drown, her husband, Karl and their children, Tyler, Mason and Sydney; his son, Charlie Price and his wife Shelly (Tim was thrilled knowing that his future grandson to be born in 2021 will carry on the Price family name) and his sister, Noelle Price Dienken (SPHS '64) and her husband Jay. My heartfelt condolences go to his family. He will be truly missed.

Gene Masuda, Pasadena City Council District Liaison, October 2, 2020
