Roger passed away from heart disease in Honokaa, Hawaii, September 11, 2008. He was born in South Pasadena on September 29, 1925. He was a Marine vet of World War II. He drank and smoked enough to kill six guys but he had the genetic makeup of a horse. We loved him anyway. I met Roger in the third grade at Lincoln School. He grew to 6'4 1/2" and over the years, particularly the high school years, we had many great adventures. He is fondly remembered by me and also his long-time friend, Bud Carter.
Roger is survived by his four sons, David, Buddy, Deane, and Dan.
