Gene Charles Mix, was born in Long Beach, California on February 5, 1923. On March 8, 2007, Gene passed away in Irvine, California. He was founder of Advanced Fluid Controls.

Gene graduated from USC with a BS degree in Engineering and was the president of Phi Kappa Psi and of the Inter-Fraternity Council. He proudly served as a naval officer during World War II.

Gene is survived by his loving wife and daughters, Jo Anne, Stacey, Laurie, and two grandchildren.
